With the funicular railway to Muottas Muragl

Arrival & Operating Hours

The Upper Engadin is located in the triangle between Zurich, Milan and Munich and is easily accessible by the Rhaetian Railway or via the well-developed road network. Once in Punt Muragl, the funicular takes you up to 2456 metres to the Romantik Hotel, which is open during the winter and summer seasons.

Our Romantik Hotel with its associated restaurants are open during the winter and summer seasons and may be subject to change:

Opening Hours Scatla

The Scatla is open daily from 8.00 am - 5.00 pm during our winter and summer seasons.

Opening Hours Panoramarestaurant

The Panoramarestaurant is open daily from 8.00 am - 11.00 pm during our winter and summer seasons.

Opening Hours Panoramaterrace

The Panoramaterrasse is open daily from 8.00 am until sunset in winter and from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm in summer.

Funicular timetable Muottas Muragl

The funicular railway Muottas Muragl takes you up to the Romantik Hotel, the Panorama Restaurant, the sun terrace and the restaurant Scatla at 2456 metres. The railway ticket is deposited for hotel guests at the ticket office of the valley station Punt Muragl and allows for unlimited rides up and down the mountain with the funicular.

The railway ticket is deposited for hotel guests at the ticket office of the valley station Punt Muragl and allows for unlimited rides up and down the mountain with the funicular.

Check-in at the Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl

Thanks to the direct connection to the funicular Muottas Muragl, you can check in at our Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl between 16 and 22pm.

The reception is open during the winter and summer season as follows:

  • Reception: 7 am - 22 pm
  • Check-in: 16 - 22 pm
  • Check-out: 8 - 11 am

 

Arrival by public transport

By public transport you can travel comfortably via the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) from Chur to Samedan station. From there you can take the train or bus to Punt Muragl valley station, from where the funicular takes you up to the Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl in just 10 minutes.

PLANNING ARRIVAL

Arrival by car

For those arriving by car, free parking is available at the valley station Punt Muragl. You can enter ther following addresss into the navigation system: Punt Muragl 1, 7503 Samedan (if possible link to GoogleMaps for direct route calculation). By car you can comfortably reach the Engadin from anywhere in Switzerland, Italy, Germany or Austria.
